September in the life of Little Kitty M

This is me.

I started this blog to talk to fellow granny chic, vintage, fashion, cat and life lovers. In the small state of Tasmania in Australia, I have grown up surrounded by my mother's handmade Waldorf style dolls. Her business, Little Jenny Wren Dolls, has always been a part of my life and so it took me a little while to realise just how privileged I was and am to have a mother who taught me to knit, sew and do all sorts of crafty things before the age of about 8 or 9. As a result I have a reputation with friends to be creative, crafty and give great home made birthday presents ;) Surrounded by creativity, it was easy to become passionate about handcrafts like crochet, clothe making and jewellery making. While I hugely enjoy crocheting in front of a good episode of Foyle's War, and making cute clothes from Mum's vintage patterns for myself to wear, my main hobby has headed towards making vintage styled jewellery. I now have an online shop called Come & Play Betsy May. The shop is depressingly empty because I am still at school and as a result have little time to do what I want. I do occasionally sell at markets too.

However, getting back on topic, I love all things to do with style, design, art, animals and also music. So to start off my blog I am going to tell you 10 things I loved about my life in September.

One. Spring. Everything about spring is gorgeous and sunny, but rainy and cosy when you need it to be. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and the grass is green! Summer is lovely, but the grass goes yellow and crisp, so I prefer spring for this reason.

Two. Mum and me have started a little shop together called Boots and Snudge where I am going to sell crocheted delights, so that's exciting and I am finding an even stronger love for crochet every time I make something.

Three. I absolutely love it when you buy a new album and you just can't get enough of it! I have been like this with Boy & Bear - Harlequin dream, since the beginning of August and I am still playing it non stop at the end of September going into October.

Four. Since the weather's been getting nicer it has been much more enjoyable taking my little dog, Frankie, for long, lazy walks. It feels so nice walking in the slightly warm sun, just thinking about anything that pops into your head.

Five. Zoella, Jacksgap, and Pointless Blog. I discovered these You Tubers quite a while ago, but this month I have been obsessed with them and enjoying their videos..on replay ;)

Six. The song Free by Rudimental, acoustic version. I just...Love. It.

Seven. I have rediscovered this BBC series called Larkrise to Candleford, and this has made me happy for the past month.

Eight. School. I know what you're thinking. 'School? Why would school ever belong on this list?!' The reason is because the atmosphere, my group of friends and the teachers have all been really happy and positive lately. Perhaps this was because we were reaching the end of term and everyone was already in a holiday state of mind.

Nine. The Internet. I have been slightly addicted to Pinterest, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and Etsy since I have been on school holidays. I don't let these sites turn me into a sloth, but it is nice to see what happening around the world through lovely pictures and funny videos.

Ten. Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin. I bought this just recently with some money left over from my birthday and I just adore it. It leaves my face feeling refreshed and soft, but not rid of absolutely all moisture, which is a much nicer, gentle effect.

So that is ten small, random things about September that were a highlight in the life of Little Kitty M.

Before I go, I would just like to say that the aim for my blog isn't to educate, preach or  pretend to be someone I'm not, but simply to enlighten, perhaps amuse or even entertain you with my words. I don't know who I'm talking to, but whoever you are out there, if there is anyone, hello :) and thanks for reading.
